Ny VIP tur i 2011 !!!

Vi Alice og Bjørn har booket en deluxe Liveaboard i Maldiverne for vores 14 dage private VIP tur. En tur i en af verdens bedste dykker område. Vi starter i Nord Male Atoll og fortsætter til Rasdhoo Atoll, Nord- og Syd Ari Atoll til Felidhoo Atoll, via Syd Male Atoll til Male.

Denne tur er for mange af os en velkommen tilbage til et velkendt dykker områder. Et område hvor vi har tilbragt 6½ år af vores dykker karriere.

Vores ide med denne tur er bl.a. et gensyn med mange af de dykker steder som vi har dykket gennem årene, i vores tid på Lily Beach i Syd Ari Atoll. Vi vil bruge mere tid på Syd Ari Atoll end en normal safari tur gør. Vi vil dykke mange af de normale highlight + andre ”hemmelige” dykker steder som normalt ikke bliver tilbudt på sådan en safari tur. Sammen med det erfarne crew vil vi også prøve nye områder som ikke er blevet dykket før.

Vi vil på ankomst dagen møde jer i lufthavnen bringe jer til vores hotel, hvor alle mødes den første dag. Om aftenen vil vi have en velkomst menu med efterfølgende introduktion til vores kommende 14 dage på safari båden.

Diving is carried out from the purpose built “diving dhoni,” which will not anchor but rather follow the divers from the surface. This is one of the safest and most comfortable ways to dive in the Maldives due to the wind and currents. Each diver will have their own dive station and basket for storing their diving gear, which will always remain on the diving dhoni. The system leaves the main boat free to handle accommodations, meals and social activities in a quiet atmosphere.

Important Information for diving guests:
• C-card or proof of certification is required
• Proof of dive insurance is required
• Dives are guided by an experienced PADI instructor and a dive master
• Diver Training (PADI/SDI/TDI) is available
• Diving equipment is always kept on the diving dhoni
• Dive equipment is available for rental
• All divers must adhere to Maldivian diving regulations: no decompression dives, always stay with your buddy, never dive below 30m if you are a PADI Advanced Open Water (or equivalent) and never dive below 18m if you are a PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent).
• Protection is strongly recommended – A 3mm wetsuit should be comfortable and adequate.
• It is compulsory for all divers to carry the following gear: mask, fins, regulator with pressure gauge & alternate air source, buoyancy compensator (BCD), depth, gauge, dive computer, safety sausage.
• It is recommended that you have your equipment checked/serviced before arrival
• Please remember to carry spare straps, etc. for masks, fins, etc.

The menu on board is varied and plentiful, with American, European, Asian and local fusion feasts being served in the dining area. Guests can look forward to sumptuous barbecues and fresh, homemade desserts. A buffet of fresh fruits and salads, hot entrees, hot soup, and juices are available during meals.
Meals: Lunches are buffet-style while dinners are a la carte creations, including seafood, beef or chicken. Vegetarian meals can be prepared upon request. Please advise of any special dietary requirements.

The bar is open throughout the week. However, please observe the Orion’s strict policy on alcohol – “Alcohol and diving never mix!” Once you consume any alcohol, your diving ceases for that day.
It should be noted that the importation of alcohol is forbidden in the Maldives. Tourist operators are able to purchase by special government license. MV Orion has a fully stocked bar with a good, selection of beer, wine, whiskey, scotch, rum, gin and vodka.
